Driving station with real controls

This type of simulator guarantees fully realistic driving as it has real controls from vehicles of all kinds.
The driving station is designed to simulate multiple types of vehicles in one, including: Passenger buses, follow me vehicles, emergency and ARFF firefighting vehicles, light or heavy vehicles for inspection or maintenance, fuel tankers, luggage trucks, pushback tractors, catering vehicles, water tankers, snow ploughs, etc. Whether they are electric, hybrid, diesel, with manual or automatic gears, etc.
In addition, the driving station has a modern touchscreen that simulates the different radios of each vehicle (GSM, tetra, etc.) for managing communications and other operations particular to each vehicle.

Immersive replica of the airport

AIS creates a 3D replica of the airport, including the runways, airport apron and the perimeter area. Both the horizontal and vertical signage particular to airports, as well as all the surrounding elements such as terminals, control tower, hangars, parking lots, fuel deposits.
The visual system of the simulator with 4K screens immerses the pupil in real driving environments thanks to maximum image quality and a visual field that reproduces the 180º view of a real vehicle.

Realistic airport operations

The flexible software by AIS enables the instructor to create exercises that adapt to the operational situations particular to each vehicle and airport.
The simulation will create fully realistic situations thanks to the configurable and automatic traffic of airport vehicles and aircraft of different types and sizes that take off, land and circulate through the different airside areas, even parking.
In addition, the environment is configurable, both the lighting and the weather. Conditions such as snow, ice, frost, storms, rain or fog at different intensities will affect the simulation in a realistic way.

Consistent training

The simulator provides objective data on the performance of each driver. Driving and communication errors, or those specific to airport circulation, among others. And not just that, but the simulator accurately measures multiple driving parameters such as safety distances, etc.

Collaborative training

AIS driving simulators allow collaborative training between several driving stations in the same simulated scenario. This maximises the training possibilities for those situations in which joint action by the different vehicles is required, such as emergency situations, for example.

Applications

Training with simulation will enable, among others:

  • Airside ground familiarisation.

  • Practising inspection tasks of the airside area.

  • Learning airport rules and regulations.

  • Practising different operations such as follow me, pushback/towing of aircraft, removing FOD (Foreign Object Debris), etc.

  • Training in extreme weather conditions and in poor lighting.

  • Practising the operation and driving of the vehicle and its possible failures.

  • Practising the phraseology of aviation and correct use of the radio.

  • Practising driving around aircraft.

  • Training in emergencies.
